Character Information
Shadowheart is a half-elf Cleric mage who, until recently, was an acolyte of the Goddess of Darkness and Loss Shar. Shar is cruel, violent, unforgiving, and her followers tend to be the same. Shadowheart was kidnapped as a child by the Sharrans and raised to be a zealot of the order. Her memory was wiped over and over again during the years she spent with them, as Shar and her followers are also fond of secrets. Because of this there are memories of her life she still doesn't recall, and she is struggling to recover some of them. Shadowheart was taken from her parents and their memory erased, and she was then made to torture them as enemies of Shar. They were held hostage for all of her life, and Shar had a wound placed on her hand so every time they suffered, she felt it.
Shadowheart was sent on a journey to find a special artefact, and in the process, she was taken by the Mindflayers. A tadpole was placed in her head. Thanks to the protection of the Emperor, her and her new friends were protected from the inevitable takeover of the tadpole of their minds and transformation into Mindflayers. She met her band of bold adventurers, including Astarion and Karlach, and they made their way back to Baldur's Gate. On the way, Shadowheart started to question her background, especially as she grew closer to her friends and started to open her mind and heart.
Eventually Shadowheart chose not to kill someone she was tasked to, and she was rejected by Shar and lost all of her support. She was told that her parents were alive, but when she went to rescue them, they asked her to kill them. It would free her from Shar forever, and that is what they wanted, after suffering for so long. It was difficult but she did it. While she was a Sharran, Shadowheart caused a lot of death and misery, and torture and darkness. She cannot outrun the fact that she did horrible things, and while she was brainwashed and memory-wiped, it doesn't change that much was in her ability to choose.
Shadowheart is a little prickly and secretive. She doesn't trust easily. She can be a bit of a mean girl and ruthlessly pragmatic. But once she comes to trust someone, she is loving and warm with them. She is now trying to find what her future may hold without goddesses, and who she may become on the other side. Guess we'll see!

Appearance
Shadowheart appears to be in her twenties due to her slow aging from being a half-elf. She has very long silver hair that is done in a long braid down her back, with bangs and then a piece of straight hair framing her face down to her neck. Her eyes are light green.
Skills & Abilities
Shadowheart is a Life Cleric, and she specializes in healing and protection magic. She has a variety of cure spells and shields, and she has more aggressive fire-based magic, as well as a little bit of water manipulation. I have a list of her spells here. Outside of that, Shadowheart is a skilled warrior with a blade and a shield. She can also use two-handed weapons. She has low charisma and high wisdom. She also has high initiative and investigation, so she might notice things other people don't while journeying around.
